I worked as a live-in nanny for a friend’s coworker, caring for their infant son for most of a year. The role included daily childcare, basic household tasks, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

 

Responsibilities & Skills:

Provided full-time care for an infant, including feeding, diapering, and playtime

Assisted with light housekeeping and household organization

Managed a safe and stimulating environment for early development

Developed strong independent living skills as a live-in employee

This position was my first experience living independently, and I enjoyed the days spent nurturing and supporting Little Gaylen. It was also where I began a new chapter in my life, including my marriage, which took place in the basement living room where I lived at the time.
